Letter to the Bishop
As you prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation you must write a letter to Bishop Michael requesting the Sacrament of Confirmation.
This is a part of you acknowledging that you are an adult in the faith and that you are asking to be confirmed because you want to.
Ideally this letter is HAND WRITTEN
In your letter you need to ask the Bishop to be confirmed, and include the following.
- Why you wish to be confirmed.
- What you have learned about the Catholic faith during this process.
- How you have already lived out your baptismal grace, and what you intend to do after you receive the grace of Confirmation.
- Who your patron saint is and how they have influenced your life.
- Who your sponsor is and why they were chosen for this honor.
- Thank the Bishop for coming along.
- You are more than welcome to add any information about yourself and why your faith is important to you.
You will need to write this letter, write your name in an Envelope addressed to the bishop and
-Drop it off at the Parish office OR
-Give it to the priest after Sunday mass
