Here’s whats happening in our parish.

Loving for Life NZ helps young people explore topics around relationships and sexuality from a Catholic perspective. Our ‘Toward Loving A’ programme aims to support parents to have confident conversations around adolescence, while also covering topics such as social media and friendship.
Our parish is hosting this programme on Tuesday 7th December for years 7-8 (11-13 year olds) and their parents/caregivers from 5:30pm – 8:15pm in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
Mothers/daughters and fathers/sons sessions will be run individually.
Suggested donation is $15 which includes a pizza dinner.
To register, click on this link or contact the parish office.

Advent Candles

With the uncertainty caused by COVID, we have lost a sense of continuity in our liturgical year.
To make sure that this doesn’t happen this advent, you could get your own advent wreath and candles.
Making the wreath is a great activity for children, and it helps them take ownership of their faith.
NZ made candles can be purchased here (Refresh the page if it doesn’t load).
Email for size and pricing.
A home liturgy for the lighting of the candles will be uploaded here shortly.

The Search

What is this journey in between “birth” and “death”? Is the journey taking you somewhere, or are you leading yourself to some kind of destination – a destination that could extend beyond your last breath? What do you want from your life during the in between? The questions are there.  And, the answers are too.
Join us for seven Thursday nights as we SEARCH for the answers.
Next session begins: Thursday 3 February 2022
